Privacy Policy

FightMap helps you find amateur boxing gyms near you. There are no accounts and no login — you can browse without giving us any personal information. This policy explains the limited data we handle and the third parties involved.

Information we handle

Address search. If you type an address or ZIP into “find nearest,” we send that text to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim geocoding service to turn it into map coordinates so we can sort gyms by distance. We don’t store your searches.

Your device location. If you choose “Use my location,” your browser shares your coordinates with the page to sort gyms by distance. This stays in your browser — we don’t send those coordinates to our servers or store them.

Feedback. If you submit the feedback form, we collect the email address and message (and any optional location fields) you provide, and use them only to read and respond. Submissions go directly to us — by email through Resend, or through a private team messaging webhook (such as Slack or Discord) if we’ve set one up — and aren’t stored in a database.

Cookies and tracking

FightMap doesn’t use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we don’t track you across other sites or build advertising profiles. The site works without storing anything on your device to identify you.

Third-party services we rely on

Vercel — hosting. Processes standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) to serve and secure the site.
Resend — delivers feedback messages to us by email.
OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — converts a typed address into map coordinates.
CARTO & OpenStreetMap — supply the map tiles you see.

Gym listings link out to BoxRec, USA Boxing, and Google search; once you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply.

Retention and your choices

We keep feedback you send only as long as needed to respond and improve FightMap. We don’t build user profiles and we don’t sell personal data. You can skip “find nearest” if you’d rather not share a location, or ask us to access or delete feedback you’ve sent.

Children

FightMap isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes are posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
